Answers and tips on the correct installation of isofix and top tether in your vehicle, as well as the proper use of these systems when travelling.
Isofix anchorages are usually located in vehicle’s backrest lower part, at the intersection with the seat. Top Tether is usually located at backrest rear or somewhere in the luggage compartment (Caution: Not to be confused with load securing hooks in the luggage
Compartment).
Travel Fix travel harness is only compatible with vehicles equiped with Isofix
and Top Tether child seat anchorage systems.
With the current design of our harness, it is not possible to carry two dogs
with one anchorage.
To ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers, including pets, regular breaks are
recommended during long journeys. It is not advisable to travel for more than two to
three hours without stopping to rest and stretch your legs. It is important to ensure
that everyone, including pets, is comfortable and safe during the journey.
To ensure dog’s safety during the journey, it is important that the animal travels seated and facing vehicle’s travel direction. It is not recommended that they lie across the direction of travel, as this position has not been tested or certified. Keeping the dog in a seated, forward-facing position will help to ensure its safety during the journey. Ideally, keep your dog in the seated position and facing the direction of travel to ensure its safety during the journey.
Extending the top tether may compromise your pet’s safety as the lying position has not been tested and certified.
Dog shall travel with the system tensioned, although a reasonable maximum clearance of 2 cm is acceptable.

Unfortunately, we still do not have a harness available for dogs weighing more than 26 kg since vehicles restraint systems are not designed to withstand the stress generated by dogs of that size. We are currently working on a version for dogs weighing up to 30 kg. We will keep our customers informed of further developments in this area.

Use a small brush to remove dust and dirt from the strap. You can wash the textile
part of the harness after disassembly in a washing machine! Use the delicate wash
cycle at 30°C. If you wash the harness by hand, you can use a mild soap. No aggressive
cleaning agents! Hang the sling in the open air to dry. Avoid direct sunlight.

Yes, the Travel Fix harness has been tested according to a test protocol developed on
the basis of the ECE homologation standards for automotive restraint systems. The
tests are carried out in the Impact Laboratory of the University of Zaragoza (Motorland,
Alcañiz).
Travel Fix harness has undergone a rigorous testing process in compliance with automotive restraints approval standards.
At the moment there is no official approval for this type of product, but Travel
Fix restraint system has been tested according to current regulations that apply
to elements that are anchored to a car by means of crash tests and other
laboratory tests that verify the system effectiveness as long as it is used in accordance with operating instructions. Always follow the instructions for use. Any alteration of use is at user’s own risk.
- Straps resistance in different conditions (atm, UV, humidity, heat, cold, etc.)
- Corrosion testing of metallic components.
- Fatigue testing of mechanical components.
- Temperature test of all components. Buckle strength testing.
- Tests for microslip of adjusters. Belt abrasion tests.
- Dynamic tests with typical standard frontal crash pulse for M1/N1 vehicles (GVW ≤
3500Kg) - Overturning test.
